Fulgur Avis - Deus Vult

For an art challenge given in class. The subject of it was make an "artifact of great power". Me and a friend jointly worked together on this I made the bade helmet in Maya and he detailed it in zbrush. So in other words he made my base model look super pretty.

We had about 3 and a half hours to finish this.

Story behind the artifact: is that the beak and feathers are metal objects that have magical properties and have been used by many civilizations before throughout the ages. This one happening to being use by a knight during the crusades. The beak and feathers when combined with a piece of armor allow the user to harness the power of lighting to use against their foes. However this causes damage to the armor over time and thus is constantly passed on to new sets and new warrior throughout the ages.
